The island of Mauritius lies about 800 kilometers east of Madagascar between longitudes 57 18' and 57 49' east, and latitudes 19 59' and 20 32' south. Pearl-shaped, it is sixty-one kilometers long and forty-six kilometers wide at the extremes and has a total land area of some 1,865 square kilometers--about the size of Rhode Island. Mauritian territory also incorporates the island of Rodrigues, some 600 kilometers to the east, which is 119 square kilometers in area. Two tiny dependencies to the north of Mauritius, the Agalega Islands and the Cargados Carajos Shoals (also known as the St. Brandon Rocks), are unpopulated.

Directions to Casa Tia VillaHoliday Bungalows Driving from the Airport (If you arrange a Hire-Car)
On leaving the air-port follow the road signs for the town of Mahebourg
You will now be driving towards Mahebourg, the air-port boundary fence is on your right,
At the 1st. round-about turn left, following the signs to FERNEY
At the 2nd.round-about turn left at the second slip road, following signs to FERNEY
At the 3rd. round-about turn left at the first exit, and you will be driving on the coastal road.
You will now pass through several villages, Ferney, Old Grand Port, Bois des Amourette, Providence and finally you will arrive at ANSE JONCHEE.
Drive through the village and you will come to a very sharp right hand bend in the road and then cross a small bridge. After the bridge turn first left into Domaine du Chasseur Road, drive for a 100 yds. and you will come to Casa Tia Villa Holiday Bungalows , the first property on the right.
There are several signs for you to follow at the junction of Domaine du Chasseur road.
